Breaking the rules -Part 2

Hiiiiiiiii....

nice to see you again, readers....=D

          My today's topic is still Breaking the rules (part2 ) .I call it part 2  cause this time is more different than before .In this topic i have to describe 3 weird artists that breaking the rules who's in the same major with me ,which is Fine art.. i wanna be in Fine Art major in painting so these are 3 unique painters that i want to talk about : First is Karl Persson ,2# is Christian Rex Van ,and the last but not least issss Terry Gilliam.. =D .

       For me, These 3 artist are breaking the rules because their own painting style are very unusual,weird, and  very different than the reality.. so without any further do  i wanna start talking bout 'em one by one with their painting characteristic..

   First of them all ,i wanna talk about a painter from London named Karl Persson..

         And ,Here's his 3 paintings ..

   

     

     As we can see ,These three paintings of him have the characteristic of cannibalism and that's exactly what Karl wants to express through his paintings by breaking the rules such as unusual mixing parts of every figure on his paintings.. I know his paintings are having the sense of terrifying effect towards us  but Karl is very imaginative and also has some fantasy that always the opposite of the reality.

Let's move along to the second artist who alse breaking the rules..

            This is Christian Rex Van Minnen ,A painter from UK.

 Who's also in the same major with me which is painting..but he's of course wayyyy more brilliant painter than i am ..hehehee =D

                                 These are the 3 paintings that i found breaking the rules ..=)

      These paintings are obviously  breakin' the rules cause you can see how Christian made a figure of person by combine it with so many other objects such as snakes and mushroom  for it's head, we also can see how the lady's eyeball from the first picture are jumping out of the face that make it very cliche for us but still very interesting with it's out of the box combinations .

The third is ..Terry Gilliam who's a  very imaginative as an artist and animator from America ,and also my most favorite artist who's breakin' the rules  (SAVE THE BEST FOR THE LAST=D )

 And,These are his 3 paintings pict :

              His ways to break the rules are totally non sense but in a good way such as he painted this giant  alien  being stabbed, splited head with  adding some fish to be eaten by the person,eating from someone's brain , =D ..I can't explain how i found it very loveable to watch his weird painting style even though it's really unreal and hard to be understood by people .But,still his paintings are so spectacular for me ..cause i love the weird concept he  made ..=D

So .. that's all three artists who's breaking the rules...
I think this part 2 of breaking the rules was so much fun because i could learn from the creative people that are in the same major with me so i really hope that these research will help me to get to know what makes the artists have their own unique style..=D

Week 4 :The Mind mapping

I would like to tell you about this interesting assignment of mine from creative thinking lesson .
So,my lecturer,Miss Ho, gave my class an assignment called " Mind maping" and i know it sounds very difficult ,right? but for me,it's not that difficult as it's title.In this assignment we have to think about all the ideas  that based on the themes such as The pursuit of happiness and creative and innovation  that had been decided by my lecturer. this assignment is a group work so it won;t be that hard for us to put all our crazy ideas together . My group members are Me, Kalina,Amirul ,and Shafika. We worked together very well actually ,we can also give our own opinion without any judgement from each other to make us easier to make the connection and also make our assignment very fun with all it's process..

    Let me tell you why this assignment is easier than the brainstorming assignment ... cause it doesn't have to be very outside the box and combine all the nonsense ideas.. it's assignment more looking up to ideas that we have to develop from our themes,we also came up with so many ideas that come from our experiences and our imagination .. These are some examples from Mind map ,,let's see it..

what i really like from this assignment beside we can give all the crazy ideas ,we also can draw pretty much everything that we want too.. We drew so many things to explain each of our idea ...Yea..I really like this activity ..it's more easier and very enjoyable ..my teamwork is very overwhelming so i found this assignment also opened my eyes how i can work as a team and also be more expressive with my own ideas.. =D

   For me,This assignment is very useful cause i could put put all of our creative ideas about the theme as free as i could and the teamwork was also very cheerful so i thought it might help me through my arts and practice group assignments =)

Week 3: Rules have been broken =D

So,today i wanna write about artists and designers who have broken the rulesss..

                      

 
   I know maybe this topic of my assignment sounds very unfamiliar for us but the truth is there's so many artist and designers who have broken the rules so many times with so many ways ..As we can see, there's so many artworks,clothes,shoes,bags, etc that very weird and quiet bazaar for us ..and without further do, let me tell you why...

     Well,i've already found 3 people that makes me very interested in their unique creations.. those 3 people are Walter Van Beirendonck as a fashion designer ,Nathan James as an painter orartist ,and Bruno Catalano as a sculptor..

      Those three people are totally and successfuly amazed me in so many ways with their works and that's what i wanna show you how they can be very famous by breaking the rules...=D

       First of all,I want to talk about Walter Van beirendonck who's a Belgian fashion designer..there he is ..

His collection based or inspired by nature,visual arts,literature,etc. I want to give you some pictures from his unique collections..here they are...

that very popular back then.. it has broken the rules by making a very unusual kind of mask that we don't usually use..

 

     This second collection has broken the rules because look at the veryy bigg headphone  on his little head that look very strange cuz it's that big not like in our usual life ..and of course we can see his belt that included by big letters of a word that stands for something that Walter want to express.

                                             

     This third collection reminds me of a very huge ball that contained by bushes ..and i know it's weird cuz we don't get to see this kind of collection from every runway show cuz it's unusual and look like sort of a costume ..but through this design,Mr.Walter was trying to tell us to keep our earth safe with saving our green environment...:)

                               

       This forth collection was based on the theme of airplane and inspired by visual arts in designing the clothes. and it looks strange and breaking the rules cause people in normal life don't use that airplane clothes..

Now, that's why he is breaking the rules.. well as far you can see from his collections that i've picked..i know they're very random, strange, creepy  ,but it also very creative cuz he loves to create something unusual to wear on..=D

Second of all, there's this guy named Nathan James .. and he's a london artist and he's quiet famous cus he likes to make paintings that based on very popular images of someone's life..His artwork is very unique or different than any other paintings.. let me show you some pictures of his remarkable paintings that he liked to call his exhibition as a creepshow paintings because his paintings are mostly very creepy and have that melting effect on his subject's face as a very eccentric effect of his painting style .it's kind of breaking the rules because human face doesn't have that melt skin and if it does,it would be strange or nasty ..So for the society itself, His artwork is totally indescribable but also very interesting for them ..

      The last one is Bruno Catalano ,who's breaking the rules by being a very quirky sculptor..He's very popular and he also likes to capture the viewers attention by making sculptures with his own style which is making a sculpture that contains dissapearing parts of the body   ..and he most likely to make a sculpture titled as 'traveler'..these are his sculptures..

       The society likes his sculptures very much with it's unique touch of it that makes it special even though all his sculptures are breaking the rules by dissapearing some parts of the body but the society very appreciate his unique way as to sculpture some his sensational artwork.

    What i've got from this assignment is i'm getting all exciting about what will i learn in fine art major to break the rules and make myself more improved by the way i want to break the rules just like the creative people i've found .. and now i know that breaking the rules is way more fun in the art world .=D

Week 2: Brainstorming Activity

                                    

Hello, nice meeting you again :D

     I am here to make a blog to tell about my  brainstorming activity as a group of 3 :me ,karina, and brian...

 
   So ,three of us had been given an assignment by Miss Ho to tell about all of crazy ideas inside our mind about how many ways to squeeze the lemon,kill a cockroach, and cross the road and it has to be very creative and believe me before i go on,

      i just wanna say... this activity sounds so fun but also make me frustrated cuz how i am not creative to make such bazaar ideas, how can i make something from my mind and let it out very easily cause even though i always think that i'm a simple person but it doesn't mean i don't complicate things that sounds very unfamiliar for me Here's some examples of how's to do Brainstorming exercise and how it comes out... =D

    For me ,being creative is one of my challenge to put myself out there,fight with myself to come out with something outside the box , and not aware what people think of it even though it may sounds  very strange or non sense but for me it's a really good practice to develop my fine arts skill cause in this major i have to be as creative as an artist could be ,and i have to make my crazy ideas into artwork so yea that's very challenging for me but yea challenge is a part of life so i have to deal it no matter what.

                                                          

    In this group,i am the one who's lacking of ideas .. cause they both came out so many ideas very easily and not like me ,i have to process it in my mind so that's probably why it took a long time for me to write something fun,crazy,unique,outside the box,bazaar,imaginative,dirty,awkward,invisible, ,etc.

But this is my first time doing it ,so i hope i can do better on my next assignment and keep continue to be brave to make something up ...

   but today ,on Thursday, we continue the work and thank God i can give so many unique and crazy wild ideas ..

 
       And we just continue it very quickly so we can continue other assignments ..but i really  like this assignment cuz its totally fun and not boring at all, ..i think i this is a very great experience for us,especially for me ..i wonder how this brainstorming have changed me in a way to be more open up to many ideas that i barely think about and just open up my mind to be creative in everyway ..but to make myself be more creative i have to be patient cus i still need those baby steps to be more creative ..but overall we all just had a great time togetha trying to make something up that  make us laugh all day long just bcuz our speak up all our insane ideas thats driving us crazy ..;D

   But in the end, i'm so glad to experienced this brainstorming activity because it's totally erased all my shyness and hold on myself to come up with something that insane but now that i've been through this ,it made me feel like now i'm taking my baby steps to achieve the creative level ahead of me.=)
